The first day of A-Kon! After school, Natalee, Des, Gloria, and I met at the bench, where we usually hang out, and went right out to where my dad was going to pick us up to wait at my house for Mom to get off work. After we went through a couple of bags of popcorn, we loaded the luggage, which everyone had brought the night before, into the van and once Mom had finished getting ready we piled into the van and departed at 12:30.

Besides making a wrong turn, nothing really bad happened on the way there. Mom was fortunate that the only real talkers in the van were Des and I, and Des taught me how to crochet. So in the end, we were crocheting or sleeping instead of talking. We had a lunch break at McDonald’s about an hour after getting out of Houston. They had no humongous-sized fries (a.k.a. fries baskets) there! That must be a Houston thing they didn’t have them in L.A., either. So in the end, I settled for two Super Sized fries; I ate more than everyone, as usual. Once everyone finished, it was back on the road!

When we reached the airport, emu called right before I was going to call her. Her mom, Suu-chan, and she left early since they were exempt from the exams and got everyone’s tickets, so they were going to meet us at the entrance, and made it down there in time and helped us lug the stuff upstairs. We settled in just in time for emu, Meagan, Suu-chan, and I to make it to the video watching room for episodes 1-3 of DNA^2 at 19:00. It was extremely funny, but Meagan and Suu-chan left after the first episode… probably because of the stupid story line…

One scene from DNA^2 had a bad influence on me… There’s a scene where the girl that’s using the main character picks on him by wearing a towel and pretending like she’s coming on to him, only to reveal that she’s wearing a strapless swimsuit underneath. I just happened to bring a strapless swimsuit. And there is a pool in the Hyatt Hotel. So when emu and I got to the hotel room, we changed into our swimsuits and I grabbed one of the hotel towels and wrapped it around myself and we went down to the pool (Ne, if anyone that was there happened to get a picture of this, e-mail it to me… I have no proof beside my friends’ and my words...). I swear, I have never been gawked at so many times in my life and the elevator’s stopping at nearly every floor on the way down didn’t help (we were on floor 32, the second from the top). Plus we had to make two trips since we didn't know you needed your keycard to get into the pool area... and emu walked in on her and my moms watching two guys playing piano with their balls... don't ask. Even I don't want to know. Anyways, when we got to the pool, some dude hit on us and told us about a room party he was having, but fortunately, he had morals and in the end told us not to come because we’re not 18 years old. He eventually wandered off because some girl splashed him.

After soaking in the pool for a while, emu and I headed up to the room again to change and headed down to the video rooms again to watch Saikano with Michael, who paid a visit to us in our hotel rooms (get your minds out of the gutter... and we know him from school) and his new friend (I think his name was Eric... or Erik... dunno how to spell it), who also wanted watch it. It was a tear-dripper (It probably would've meen more of one if the Dual Jewel concert wasn't next door; that guy, in my opinion, can't sing)... but I want to see more. Yall should watch it... ;_;

At the same time, D, Suu-chan, and I think Meagan had made a “Will Yaoi For Fangirls” sign and was causing quite a ruckus in the hall... and a jerk of a security dude told them to stop even though they were only posing for pictures.

Once the show was over, it was back to the room and we and the others sat around talking for a goodly while. Everyone but emu and I died, and we ended up going in the hall to talk at about 2:30. At about 3:30 or 4, we finally went to our sleeping bags and died.
