Everyone managed to wake up bright and early! A group of us went down to where they had food to buy and Mom and I stocked up on those mini cereal boxes and when all the food was gathered and paid for, we all went back to the room. I had one little box of cereal… and I later regretted that. Stupid fast metabolism…

We all donned our costumes after breakfast and I now think double-sided tape is a god. It works better than any glue. Well, after waiting for D to finish getting blue-ified, we hit the hall! After posing… many times. We practically had to run for the dealers’ room. We were originally one big group… but after a few minutes, the only people with me were emu and my mom… and the latter got stuck with carrying my shopping bags… but I had to pose for pictures… yes… pose. >.> Anyways, my main goal was to get the collector’s edition of the first DVD of RahXephon (which came with a box for the rest of the series) at the cheapest possible price (resulting in my using me l33t pricing skillz, but I ended up getting it for $33 instead of $44 ^_^), to find a cool sun blocker for the windshield of my car, to get Suu-chan a birthday present, and to get whatever Yami no Matsuei shitajiki (pencil boards) I could find that I didn’t already have. When I discovered that there were Matantei Loki Ragnarok shitajiki out, I soon added that to my list of main things to search for. I also ended up getting emu a Sanzo (from Saiyuki) zipper fastener as an early birthday present, so at least I don’t have to worry about getting a present when her birthday comes around. Anyways, I found everything but the sun blocker, but my finding a Tsuzuki from YnM pin made up for that. I’d list everything I got, but I’m going to stick pictures of my purchases up.

After the shopping was out of the way, we went back up to the rooms and I donned my yukata. I was kind of proud that I was one of the few people who wore a kimono right. emu changed into normal clothes and we got lunch and headed the video rooms to see episodes 4-6 of DNA^2. I had pizza and that was the worst pizza I’ve ever had… Anyways, the show started getting uninteresting… for a little while. It was getting ridiculously serious for a little while, but I think my boredom spawned from my desire to roam. And for the record, it isn’t easy to run wearing a yukata and geta… I had to run to the bathroom during the show and I nearly fell a couple of times. And I also don’t suggest going up metal stairs in geta…

We were planning on seeing the voice acting panel, but they started early and it was crowded. So emu and I went back up to the room and I changed back into my Subaru costume and we wandered for a bit before Read or Die. While standing around waiting for Suu-chan, I saw someone dressed as Kakashi (my favorite char.) from Naruto and, since I was out of film, took a picture of him on emu’s camera. In the end, I ran into him later when Mom finally got a disposable camera and got my own pic. When it was time for the movie to start, we headed into the video room Suu-chan-less and, since she’d already seen the first episode of ROD, emu went out to wait for Suu-chan and returned after about 15 minutes. Suu-chan never showed up. Idon’t suggest sitting around in the video room when you don’t have warm clothes… I ended up using my apron-like thing as a blanket.

After the show, my lack of food to burn started to catch up to me. I managed to get up to the hotel room and Mom announced that the custom badges were down to $7, so I ended up going back down. I barely made it in time to get my picture taken and they had to mail it to me. On the trip back, I was literally leaning on my mom on the way to the rooms. Then it turned out that I put the water in the wrong place in the coffee maker (I did this before we went down to the custom badge thing), but since I’ve never used a coffee maker to make coffee or anything else before… I followed the directions and that was for making coffee, not heating water. So I ended up changing while the water heated and managed to change and hang up my costume without falling. Then I had to eat my ramen with a spoon and I’ve never done that before. I couldn’t keep the noodles on the spoon. >.< Anyways, emu wandered off to watch FLCL and I continued eating and watching some of the cosplay contest that was on A-Kon TV.

Eventually, emu came up from FLCL and after a little while of lazing around, emu, Meagan, Aaron, and I went down to watch the Devil’s Trill arc of Yami no Matsuei (Descendants of Darkness). emu wouldn’t shut up about the manga and I ended up joining in with the debate… and we probably pissed off those who hadn’t read it (FYI: The manga isn’t out in America, but I have the original and I find translations. DON’T think anyone has licensed the manga, because they haven’t). Anyways, the Devil’s Trill arc bothers me… It’s just weird animated and the pacing’s too fast. It’s like “I have a new cornea and I’m suddenly depressed!” …It just bothers me animated.

After YnM, we went back upstairs to show off our booty (as in treasure, weirdos). Des managed to get a hold of a lot of shounen ai doujinshi, Meagan got a bunch of capsule toys and a couple of books, D got books, and emu got a bunch of Saiyuki stuff, Wild Adapter, and everyone also got other stuff other than what I listed, I think. I was the only one who didn’t spend my money on manga… but I’ll just freeload off everyone else. I’m an anime pimp, not a manga pimp. Eventually, Meagan's mom made us go to sleep at around 2-ish.
